In Diablo 4's upcoming October expansion, Vessel of Hatred, players will follow Neyrelle, who has taken Mephisto's soulstone into the jungles of Nahantu, the main setting for the expansion.

Mercenary companions had become a staple in Diablo — these hirelings were missing from Diablo 4, but will be added to the game in the upcoming Vessel of Hatred expansion.

While previous Diablo games have typically had a single expansion a year or two after the initial launch of the game, Diablo 4 promises annual expansions, the first of which is Vessel of Hatred.

This is not a drill -- pets are finally joining the feature roundup in Diablo 4!

The newest class coming to the Diablo franchise is the Spiritborn, joining the lineup when Diablo 4's Vessel of Hatred expansion launches in October 2024.

The next Diablo 4 expansion is Vessel of Hatred, where we'll journey to Torajan Jungles (known to the locals as Nahantu) chasing after Neyrelle in a continuation of the game's story.
